While this is a holy shit moment. I think you may be unfairly lumping all republicans in on this one. That's like saying because of Clinton/Lewinsky that all Democrats are adulterers.

More importantly, how do these guys slip through background checks regardless?

Granted I don't mean to be saying all republicans are criminals, but your comparison doesn't quite fit.

As far as I know, Clinton's the only one of his administration who was publicly identified as an adulterer.

Would you like me to list the names of Bush's folks who've been identified as being involved in illegal activity? And since when was cheating on a spouse illegal?

Maybe I should've been a bit more specific when I mentioned the adultery, because he did perjure him self and get impeached.

I just wanted to point out that it's easy to lump a group of people in because that's what the media has out there right now, just like the Republicans were doing to the Democrats during Clinton's administration. There's many crooked people on both sides of the aisle, it's just easier for us to point out the ones that people are talking about right now.

Nice reading comprehension, "ayersrj" (if that is your real name). "Every member of the Bush administration" is not the same thing as "Republicans". So relax; we're not accusing you of being a child molester. Of course, if you get appointed to a federal judgeship, I'll start wondering...

The tag says Republicans doesn't it?

  6. The2aces said 4/5/06 @ 11:26 am

that's just because if someone searches for stories that have to do with republicans, I want this to come up. It doesn't mean that all republicans are criminals, or that all criminals are republicans. Simply that THESE criminals happen to be republicans.

  7. Cash said 4/5/06 @ 1:51 pm

Precisely. If someone submits a link about John McCain doing something awesome and tags that "republicans", I won't interpret that as meaning that all Republicans are good. Instead, I'll just think, "Hey, amid the scandals, ethics violations, contempt for humankind, greed, embezzlement, conflicts of interest, short-sighted policies, mindless sheep-like attitudes, and general incompetence, these Republicans are doing some really good things."

  8. ayersrj said 4/5/06 @ 3:13 pm

    Haha!

So now let me toss this out here? Why tag it with Bush then?
