My parents bought the house I grew up in for $65,000. It's now worth $1,345,557. That's just fucking ridiculous.
Assuming 25 years, that is about 13% annualized appreciation. Just for those wondering.
My parents recently sold our old house, so it's interesting to see the value chart and compare it to the offers they got at different points.

but of course they don't have data on my house in virginia. google maps still doesn't cover that much of the state. what's up with that?
Upon closer inspection, the data on this site is of questionable value. Some of the numbers just aren't right.
